Climbing Kilimanjaro

CAD $650

Thousands have climbed Kilimanjaro since the two Germans in 1880. It is not technical. You will not need ropes and crampons. There are African companies that guide and support climbers. Porters will carry tents, tables, chairs, food and water. They have been to the summit hundreds of times and do not have altitude problems. They will pack up the camp from the night before and “leapfrog” by the climbing party, set up the next camp, cook dinner and put up your tent. Do not underestimate the challenge of altitude. About ten people die on Kilimanjaro every year.
