Elephants in Amboseli

Amboseli National Park (opens in a new window) is a UNESCO heritage site. It is dedicated to the protection of its Elephants.

Since 1972, their numbers have doubled from 800 to 1600.

I saw them in 2004: they did not show fear of human observers.
